The Festival had a night life.
In 2026, Yarraville Festival experimented with something different. Instead of waiting until Sunday morning for the Festival to begin, the stage came alive on Saturday night.
The Urbans opened the evening, followed by G_Tano, before Ras Jahknow Band took the final set. It changed the atmosphere of the Festival weekend — Saturday wasn’t simply setup day anymore.
That first night showed us there was room for something more — a place for live music to have its own space within the Yarraville Festival weekend. And so Yarraville By Night began.

Yarraville By Night returns in 2027.
The suburb is the venue.
Yarraville has always had music in it. In its pubs and venues. In rehearsal rooms and studios. On Festival stages. In community halls. And in generations of musicians who have called Melbourne’s West home.
Yarraville By Night gives that part of the community its own moment — another platform for established performers, emerging musicians and local artists, and another reason to spend an evening in Yarraville Village.
This isn’t about building a giant fenced-off music festival and dropping it into the suburb. Yarraville’s streets, businesses, restaurants, bars, people and unmistakable character are part of the experience.
